(London, UK – 5:39 AM ) Video footage is circulating on social media, purporting to show an ISIS vehicle being destroyed by an airstrike near the recently-liberated ancient city of Palmyra.
The footage is around 1 minute long, and was released by the pro-government “ISIS Hunters” unit. The group receives support from Russia, and has a strong presence in Palmyra.
The group took part in the liberation of Palmyra, and have continued to advance against ISIS in the area. The Russian Air Force (RUAF) and around 100 Russian Special Forces also assisted in the second liberation of the city.

On the 23/03/2017, around 120 ISIS fighters attempted to regain control over some areas recently liberated by pro-government forces, including Jabal al-Mazar. Their attack was repelled, with more than 20 ISIS fighters killed, and around a dozen injured.
In other Syria-related news, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has scored significant gains against ISIS in the Eastern Aleppo countryside.
