Shelling Injures 12 Civilians in Syrian Capital, Damascus

(London, UK – 12:50 A.M.) Although pro-government forces have made significant progress in the Damascus Governorate in recent months, Syria’s capital city is still prone to attacks from nearby terrorists, as today’s shelling demonstrates.

12 civilians were injured after two mortars landed in the Al-Tijaraa neighbourhood of Damascus earlier today. The injured are being treated in hospitals and other state-run medical facilities within the city.

Local police sources confirmed that the attack occurred, and added that several buildings were damaged, as were a few cars parked nearby.
